2nd Generation — 2027 to Present

How the Schedule Has Changed Over Time

2027 — New Generation
All-New 2nd-Gen Seltos Adds the First Seltos Hybrid New Gen
The bigger, reworked 2nd-generation Seltos debuts alongside the brand’s very first Seltos hybrid, adding hybrid-specific service items on top of the existing gas-engine schedule.
2024 — Facelift
1.6T Switches to an 8-Speed Automatic Transmission Change
For the refresh, the 1.6L turbo swaps its 175-hp 7-speed dual-clutch for a 195-hp 8-speed automatic — a change in transmission type that brings different fluid-service needs — while the lineup also picks up the X-Line trim.
2021 — US Launch
Seltos Arrives With Two Engine Choices New Gen
Two engine choices arrived with the original subcompact Seltos: a 2.0L MPI paired to a CVT, and a 1.6L turbo-GDI paired to a dual-clutch. Neither uses a belt — both run timing chains, so belt replacement never enters the picture. Oil and rotation come due every 8,000 miles for the 2.0L, or every 6,000 for the shorter-interval 1.6T; the cabin filter follows a time-based inspect-then-replace cycle; the engine air filter is checked at 30,000; spark plugs wait until 96,000 miles on the 2.0L versus 42,000 on the 1.6T; brake fluid needs changing every 48,000 miles or 48 months; and the first coolant change lands at 120,000 miles.

Seltos Maintenance FAQs

Where's the Seltos Schedule for My Year?

Pick any year from 2021 to 2027 to see oil and rotation, filter, spark plug, coolant, and AWD driveline service for that model.

Do the 2.0L and Turbo Seltos Have the Same Service?

They don’t — on pre-2024 models the turbo needs oil (6,000 vs. 8,000 miles) and spark plugs (42,000 vs. 96,000 miles) sooner than the 2.0L, even though both run a timing chain with nothing to replace. Since the 1.6T’s transmission changed in 2024, fluid service can differ by year, so have your advisor confirm what your VIN calls for.
