That said, Chevrolet still claims the lower starting price on its base LS trim and a small fuel-economy edge from its 1.3L turbo engine.

At the entry trim, generally — the Trailblazer LS opens near $24,395 against the Seltos LX’s $24,990, although a handful of 2026 price adjustments have narrowed that difference on some builds. Line them up equally equipped, though, and the Seltos answers with a larger standard touchscreen (12.3 inches to 11), more available horsepower, close to twice the powertrain warranty term, and more cargo capacity. That’s a modest price difference for a substantial list of extras, and we won’t deny that the Trailblazer holds the starting-price edge.

The standard 2.0L delivers 147 hp versus the Trailblazer’s standard 1.2L turbocharged three-cylinder at 137 hp, and atop the lineup, the X-Line SX’s 1.6L turbo generates 190 hp and 195 lb-ft — comfortably ahead of the Trailblazer’s strongest available engine, a 155-hp, 174-lb-ft 1.3L turbo-three.

Kia’s powertrain term is considerably longer — 10 years/100,000 miles against Chevrolet’s 5 years/60,000 miles — while both brands tie on a 3-year/36,000-mile basic limited warranty. On the powertrain term that covers the engine and transmission, the Seltos stays comfortably out front.

Yes — the LT, RS, and ACTIV trims offer AWD paired with the 1.3L turbo and a 9-speed automatic, though it’s never standard on any Trailblazer. Every Seltos trim can be had with AWD, and it comes standard on both X-Line variants. Either way you can get all-weather grip — Chevrolet as a box you check, Kia built into its upper trims from the start.

Credit where due: the Trailblazer’s base LS trim starts cheaper, its 1.3L turbo returns a modest EPA fuel-economy gain (up to 31 mpg combined FWD), it carries a factory tow rating (up to 1,000 lb, versus none for the Seltos stateside), and it’s already secured a 2025 IIHS Top Safety Pick plus a 5-star NHTSA overall score. Shoppers who care most about entry price, mileage, or light towing should give it a serious look. On warranty length, available power, screen size, and cargo space, though, the Seltos comes out on top.
