2025 — New Nameplate
K4 Replaces the Forte With Two Engine Choices New Gen
The K4 stepped in for the Forte with a larger compact sedan body, available with a 147-hp 2.0L MPI (IVT) or a 190-hp 1.6L turbo-GDI (8-speed automatic, GT-Line), FWD only. Per Kia's own owner's-manual tables: routine oil and rotation lands at 8,000 miles or 12 months (5,000 miles under severe service); the cabin air filter alternates inspect/replace on a 12/24-month cadence; brake fluid gets inspected at 8,000 miles and replaced at 48,000 miles or 48 months; the 2.0L's spark plugs come due at 96,000 miles; and the first coolant change waits until 120,000 miles.
